Experts in child care are saying children in early childhood programs will lose if legislators approve the millions of dollars in cuts proposed by the senate to the state’s K-12 School Aid Budget. Director of Child and Family Services 4C Robin Benson said there are approximately 14,000 children under the age of five in Alpena that could potentially be affected by cuts to child care programming.
