Early Childhood Education Workshops

York County’s low-income families have for years had access to Head Start, an early childhood education program for preschool-age children. But there was a gap in services from the time the child was born to the time the child was eligible at age 3 for a Head Start class.

Diana Neatrour started a small child care service 24 years ago in her basement in Warwick. Today, the business has grown into a state-licensed franchise for early childhood education in Chester County.

The headline “Summer camp beats day care” (June 26 article) immediately caught my attention since I am an early childhood educator and administrator. Some very good points about child-care were made, and some stereotypes were mentioned.
