CHARLESTON — Four groups whose aim is to advance the education and opportunities of West Virginia’s children are working together and will hold discussions with government officials, legislators and business leaders at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the Governor’s Mansion.

Finding jobs for adults age 18 to 24 in the Alliance area and throughout the county is the goal of Ronda Hobbs, project director for Arbor Education & Training.

LONDON – THE cost of raising a child in Britain has surpassed 200,000 pounds (S$436,000) for the first time, an annual survey has found, with state education and childcare posing the biggest headaches. Figures published by insurance group LV= reveal the average parent is likely to have shelled out 201,809 pounds per child by the time it reaches the age of 21.
